| School Clinic
Students who suffer mishaps during the school year are sent or brought to the hospital wing for treatment. The hospital wing is well equipped to deal with all manner of magical and mundane injuries, from broken limbs to regrowing lost bones. Only in the most severe cases are students sent to St. Henry's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries for further treatment.

| Transfiguration
Transfiguration is essentially the art of changing the properties of an object. Transfiguration is a theory-based subject, including topics such as "Switching Spells" (altering only a part of some object, such as giving a human rabbit's ears); Vanishing Spells (causing an object to completely disappear); and Conjuring Spells (creating objects out of thin air). It is possible to change inanimate objects into animate ones and vice versa.

| Defense Against the Dark Arts
Commonly shortened to D.A.D.A., this class teaches defensive techniques to block spells, charms, curses, hexes and jinxes cast by other wizards, counteract the Dark Arts, and to protect from Dark creatures.

If Transfiguration involves changing the properties of an object, Charms are a type of magic spell concerned with giving an object new and unexpected properties. Charms classes are described as notoriously noisy and chaotic, as the lessons are largely practical.

Astronomy is the only field of study at Eagleclaw which has a direct equivalent in the Muggle world. Lessons involve observations of the night skies with telescopes. Known student homework activities include learning the names of stars, constellations and planets, as well as their location and movements, and describing the environments of planets and moons.

| Apparition
Apparition, the art of magically disappearing from one place and reappearing in another, requires a license and may only be legally performed by people over 17 years of age. The described reason for the restriction is that Apparition is dangerous if done improperly: body parts can be left behind in an unfortunate side-effect known as "splinching".

| The Eagle's Head
The Eagle's Head is another tavern, which often attracts a more unusual and private clientele than the Four Broomsticks, and many of the customers hide their faces. The hanging sign on the front of the tavern has a severed eagle's head, leaking blood onto the white cloth around it. The tavern itself is filthy, with the floor covered with layers of dirt, and the windows smeared with so much grime that little light gets through. The main floor is a single room, but there are additional rooms on the upper floors. The tavern smells strongly of goats. The bartender is Kayleigh O’Looney.

Located on a little side street off the heart of Main Street, Madam Lightfoot's is a small teashop favorite among Eagleclaw couples out on dates. On Valentine's Day Madam Lightfoot hires floating golden cherubs to throw pink confetti on visiting couples.

| Butterbites Sweetshop
Butterbites Sweetshop is one of the most famous wizarding confectioneries in the world next to Honeydukes. It sells wizarding sweets of all descriptions, including Chocolate Frogs, Liquorice Wands, Pepper Imps (which allow consumers to breathe fire), Chocoballs, Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Fizzing Whizzbees, Drooble’s Best Blowing Gum (which create "huge bluebell-colored bubbles" that refuse to pop for days), Toothflossing Stringmints, Ice Mice, Cockroach Clusters, Jelly Slugs, Blood Lollipops, Acid Pops and Sugar Quills, among others. Butterbites is particularly well known for their special kind of fudge. They also sell creamy chunks of nougat, shimmering pink squares of coconut ice, fat, honey-colored toffees, and hundreds of different kinds of chocolate.
The owner, Colin Macleroy, lives in an apartment above the shop. There is a trapdoor in the cellar of Butterbites, which connects to a secret passage. The passage leads to a portrait of a cyclops on the fifth floor of Eagleclaw.

The Post Office is filled with at least two–to–three–hundred owls, ranging from Great Grey Owls to tiny Scops (the latter for "local deliveries only"), hooting down from color-coded shelves. The shelves are color-coded based on how quickly they will arrive at their destination.
